Jesus Heals: Dancing Person Craft

 Tomorrow our all age service will look at the story of Jesus healing the Official's son (John 4: 43-54).

We generally have a craft going on on a table at one side of church that people can opt into whenever they want to in the service. 

This craft has a scientific basis and is a really creative, visual way to illustrate the healing miracles such as Jairus' daughter, the Centurion's servant and others. The tissue paper figure rises from lying down to dancing, all with the help of static electricity.

Trusting God: The Amazing Water Glass Trick!

I used this idea in an assembly yesterday, focussing on people we trust and what it means to trust God.   This would work really well if you are exploring miracle stories or stories about trust.  Suitable verses to use with it might be:  Joshua 1:9: Remember, I commanded you to be strong and brave. Don’t be afraid, because the  Lord  your God will be with you wherever you go.” Psalm 56: 3  When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. John 14: 1  Jesus said, “Don’t be troubled. The Lord's Prayer: Crafts, games and prayer activities

On Saturday, Powersource explored the Lord's Prayer, looking creatively at every section.  Here's how we broke it down and what we did.  Some activities have links to posts which will explain in more detail.  Please note that we had a 3 hour session so that's how we fitted so much in! Warm up- Order the Lord's prayer ( how much can you remember?).  Prayer printed out and cut into strips, mixed up so they can be put in the correct order.  We made this a race! Our Father in Heaven:   Heaven collage  (a whole group project)   Hallowed be your name: Names of God dominoes   (discussing the many names of God and what they mean to us).
